What web accessibility is

Ontours Cape Town – Accessibility Statement

At Ontours Cape Town, we believe the thrill of the Atlantis Dunes should be enjoyed by as many people as possible. We are committed to digital accessibility for our website visitors and providing clear, honest information regarding the physical accessibility of our adventure experiences.

1. Digital Accessibility

We continuously strive to improve the user experience of our website for everyone, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, or motor disabilities.

  • Our booking platform is designed to be mobile-friendly and easily navigable.

  • If you experience any difficulty accessing information or booking a tour on our site, please contact us via WhatsApp, and our team will gladly complete your booking manually.

2. On-Site Physical Accessibility & Adventure Options

Because our tours take place in the rugged, shifting sands of the Witsand Aquifer Nature Reserve, certain activities have different physical demands. We offer options to accommodate various mobility levels:

  • The Dune Jeep Venture (Highly Accessible): This is our most accessible adventure! If you have limited mobility, back issues, or find walking difficult, our exclusive 4x4 open-top Jeep safari allows you to experience the deep dunes safely and comfortably from a secure passenger seat. Our team is happy to assist with boarding and disembarking.

  • Quad Biking (Moderate Accessibility): Operating a quad bike requires hand-throttle control, steering strength, and physical balance. It may not be suitable for individuals with severe joint or back conditions.

  • Sandboarding (High Physical Demand): This activity requires walking up steep sand dunes on foot and maintaining balance while sliding, which requires a moderate to high level of physical fitness.

3. Service Animals

Due to safety regulations within the protected Witsand Aquifer Nature Reserve and the presence of moving motorized vehicles (quad bikes and 4x4s), service animals are unfortunately not permitted on the active dune tour routes for their own safety.

4. Contact Our Accessibility Coordinator

If you or a member of your group have specific accessibility needs, medical conditions, or mobility restrictions, please reach out to us before booking. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever safely possible to ensure you have an unforgettable day.
